Unlike many games, Paralives is entirely backed by the community in terms of finances. "Specifications will become available as we get closer to the alpha version of the game."įrom the sounds of it, you won't be needing to get an upgrade any time soon to run Paralives. The team said, "We are working on optimizing the game to make it run on laptops and lower-end computers." There are no specific system requirements yet. The team will release free content updates over time and there could even be some DLCs. (And that they sold us base game features as DLC afterward.According to the FAQ, it won't be a free-to-play game. Their problems weren't that they didn't listen to community feedback (Sims 4 was changed from an MMO to a single player game based on Sim City 2013 feedback), but that they rushed something out the door before it was ready in both cases. We know EXACTLY how Sim City and SIms 4 went - and that's why we want Paralives to take their time, not kill their devs with crunch, and not rush ANY release, even an alpha or beta. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how software is developed and in specific how gameplay development works, so do not harass a dev into hurrying a product. Please trust a dev when they tell you it's not ready - no dev DOWNPLAYS how ready their game is when they're relying on excitement and crowdfunding for their business model (although many might in order to get the time to make something that works well instead of just barely works in a crunch-driven corporate environment - just one more way capitalism ruins everything). You cannot take a trailer and assume anything other than that specific thing works that way - or even works that well reliably. Gameplay videos released as trailers are curated sections of gameplay that are working just well enough to look good at least once. edit: Not to mention that by developing in vacuum without the feedback of the player base at every step of the way is how we got SimCity 2013 and Sims 4. They just spam motherlode just to get enough $$$ to build the mansion of their dreams and don't really care about the lifesim part. edit: And if you think building alone is not enough, for many Sims players it really is. And all of those videos were published a year ago. Originally posted by JAGIELSKI:Yeah, not playable at all. Things aren’t going so well for Batman right now in The Batman Who Laughs miniseries. In The Batman Who Laughs #4, Snyder and Jock give their own approach to this question. The first and final scenes of the story are concerned with the same questions: Will Batman and the Joker be at war forever, or will one of them eventually kill the other? Is there any way to stop their rivalry before then? While it’s often overshadowed by Barbara Gordon’s trauma, Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s The Killing Joke is really centered around Batman, the Joker, and their strange relationship. Not to mention, the Spectre lasted about an hour longer on our test. I also prefer the keyboard and touchpad on the Spectre x360 14, and many users will appreciate the 3:2 aspect ratio of the display. You also get an SDcard slot and an IR camera, both of which the Yoga 9i lacks. So then, why get the Spectre x360 14? For one, it has a luxurious, eye-catching design with gorgeous color options. Perhaps most importantly, it costs a few hundred dollars less than its rival when you compare models with comparable specs. If you either need the absolute fastest ultra-thin 14-inch laptop, the most portable or one with a stylus garage for safe-keeping of the included pen, then the Yoga 9i is the right choice. Both laptops crushed the category average of 3,890. The Yoga 9i delivered the good in the Geekbench 5 overall performance test, notching a 5,312 and climbing above the Spectre x360 14's 4,904. With our test units both equipped with 16GB of RAM, that extra bit of CPU juice helped the Yoga 9i edge out the Spectre in most of our tests. Only a specs stickler will appreciate the added oomph afforded by the Yoga 9i, which uses a top-of-the-stack 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1185G7 CPU - a step up from the Intel Core i7-1165G7 in the Spectre x360 14 (and most other rivals). Winner: Spectre x360 14 Spectre x360 14 vs. I had no issues using either of them during extensive testing, that said, the Spectre x360 14 earns more points for having the larger surface to work on. It's easier to use but harder to find than the discrete one on the deck of the Yoga 9i.īoth touchpads are great, they're silky smooth and respond quickly to swipes and gestures. For what it's worth, the Spectre has a larger fingerprint sensor embedded in the keyboard. I also like the big bold font on the Spectre which is more visible than the transparent lettering on the Yoga. And lest I forget about those small details hidden within the chassis, like the triangular patterned stipples forming the speaker grilles, the large white font on the keys or the aggressively angled corners and beveled edges. And the color options, particularly the Poseidon Blue, are breathtaking. Spectre x360 14- a screen replacement for a brand new laptop is now. It's brash, loud and glamorous - adjectives I would normally stray away from when buying tech except for the outstanding execution from HP's design team.
